Harvest Hoolie

We are celebrating neighbours day in the Birkenhead Point community by getting together and we’d love you to join us.

Bring a plate, maybe something you’re harvested or made, or just pop in and have a chat. We can let you know what’s happening with Beyond the Fence, and we hope you’ll be able to share stories too.

Dino Craft Morning

Wednesday 22nd April
9:30 – 11:30am

These School Holidays come along to Highbury Community House to make your own dinosaur or dinosaur mask.

This is an event for the whole family to get crafty & have a roarsome time.





Art for absolute beginners

Thursday 13th Feb – 9th April
10:45am – 12:45pm

We will bring an introduction to painting through drawing, using various mark making techniques & adding colour, focusing on the use of watercolour as the lessons progress.

Cost is $120 for a 9 week course
& all the materials are included in the cost.

Mechanical Fantastic:Let your imagination run wild in creating a fanciful flying object that will find itself hovering into a magical landscape where colour comes to life.

Highbury Sewcial

Every Tuesday

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew?
Or do you have a sewing project that needs finishing?

Then come & be sewcial with us at Highbury House every Tuesday morning. Grow your sewing skills in a friendly environment with likeminded people.

This is free for the community & all levels are welcome.

Highbury Coffee Morning

Every 2nd Tuesday
11am – 12pm

A casual & relaxed group that meet every second Tuesday for coffee & a chat

$2 donation




Highbury Book Club

Last Tuesday of the month
7 – 8:30pm

In Partnership with Birkenhead Library, we are bringing back the Highbury Book Club. Join us monthly in a relaxed environment for an evening of discussing your current book, favourite books or discovering a new one to read.

Gold Coin donation, coffee & tea provided.

Booking is essential.





Every Wednesday
12:30 – 2:30pm

An informal and casual group for Mahjong.

All levels are welcome.

$2 per session, tea and coffee available.

Tea & Flea Market

Saturday 4th April
9am – 12pm

A market dedicated to vintage, craft & upcycled items.

We will also have a mend station in the house where you can bring in items of clothing for small repairs.
