Art for absolute beginners

We will bring an introduction to painting through drawing, using various mark making techniques & adding colour, focusing on the use of watercolour as the lessons progress.

Cost is $120 for a 9 week course

Pop-up Clothes Swap

Saturday 22nd Feb
10am – 1pm

Less like a market, more like fun and cozy time with friends. Picture; racks of unique and awesome clothes that are financially accessible to you, a totally accepting environment for you to be and express your gender and identity, kind and interesting people, free style advice and tailoring of any treasures you find.

For all LGBTQIA + all other humans with queer sensibilities. We aim to curate the collection (as much as we can) to accommodate a wide range of sizes, styles, gender and identity expressions. Bring the things that no longer excite or express you, swap it for something new – or bring cash to buy things you like (no eftpos).

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew?
Or do you have a sewing project that needs finishing?

Then come & be sewcial with us at Highbury House every Tuesday morning. Grow your sewing skills in a friendly environment with likeminded people.

This is free for the community & all levels are welcome.

An informal and casual group for Mahjong.

All levels are welcome.

$2 per session, tea and coffee available.

Mini-Preneurs Market

Saturday 7th March
9am – 12pm

This one is for the kids!! Let your inner entrepreneur take over & have your own stall at our very first KIDS market. You can sell anything from items you have upcycled from home, any handcrafted items you’ve created, homemade baking or lemonade, sell/swap your old toys….let your imagination go wild.

We also have space for anyone that would like to busk.

Highbury Book Club

In Partnership with Birkenhead Library, we are bringing back the Highbury Book Club. Join us monthly in a relaxed environment for an evening of discussing your current book, favourite books or discovering a new one to read.

Gold Coin donation, coffee & tea provided.
